Why it’s used

What the evidence says

Most of the research on arginine's physiological roles concerns free L-arginine, not this pyroglutamate salt specifically. There is little to no dedicated clinical research isolating the pyroglutamate form's effects, so its evidence cannot be assumed to mirror arginine's.
