Why it’s used

What the evidence says
There is no established dietary requirement for cobalt itself, and no recognized RDA exists for it as a separate nutrient; its nutritional importance is understood almost entirely through its presence in vitamin B12. Evidence supporting cobalt supplementation apart from B12 is essentially absent from mainstream nutrition science.
