Why it’s used

Marketed in supplements as a nootropic, taken by some for calm or focus, based on its origin as a prescription anxiolytic/nootropic drug abroad.

What the evidence says

Most clinical research on picamilon comes from older Russian-language pharmacology literature that is not indexed in the same way as mainstream systematic reviews, making it difficult to independently verify. The U.S. FDA has stated picamilon does not meet the legal definition of a dietary ingredient, which is a regulatory determination rather than an efficacy finding.
